DESCRIPTION: WW - Hamilton Spectra, quartz, 35mm x 39mm to lug tips, 19mm lug width, original asymmetrical 14K yellow gold screw back case, mismatched brown and black leather strap ends, original black dial with applied gold indices and asymmetrical dial painting, 5J, s#73480, triple signed. At some point in its life this Spectra has been converted from Hamilton's electric movement to a traditional quartz model. Includes the original long rectangular box used by this model and the famed Ventura. From the Estate of Cecil Taylor, a well known pit crew member for A.J. Foyt and Parnelli Jones. Gross weight of assembled 14K gold watch without strap 23.1 dwt (35.7 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, quartz replacement mvt in nearly mint cosmetic condition overall, no oxide; fine-plus dial with ample surface crazing most notably at the 10 o'clock indice; excellent gold dauphine hands; polished case shows little wear, several light dings on caseback from improper use of a case wrench; crown shows very little wear; good plastic crystal; brown plastic Hamilton box shows little wear, silk top has become unglued and could easily be repaired.
